Youth Services of Glenview and Northbrook
The idea of this work is to put different ‘filters’ in place that can enable you and your team to consider your work and the way you do it in different ways. By looking through these different filters and interacting day to day with your colleagues using these filters it is expected that new ideas will come forward that will positively affect the way you do your work.
Each ‘filter’ will be focused on for about 2 weeks and then another filter will be introduced. Each time a filter is worked with there will be some kind of activity assigned. It is expected that this will occur over the 2 weeks and discussion will occur day to day with your team members and summary thoughts, questions or ideas will be posted in your specific forum topic.
There are no ‘best ways forward’ or ‘perfectly right answers’. But there are your own experiences and intentions that can help move things forward in good ways. This is an emergent process where we try new things and go with what we think is best and see what happens. You and your team are the key drivers of how this will all work.
You are now at the ‘home base’ for the Youth Services of Glenview and Northbrook discussion group. Below is a running thread of all conversations and posts that are made. This means that by visiting this page you can get a sense of what is going on in each separate group.
Just below this message is a button called Forum. Your next step is to click the Forum button and it will take you to another page where Forum topics are listed (note that you will have to scroll down as the message you are reading now is on each page). A Forum topic is where you will do posts for your own specific group. You will recognize your group by its name. Click on the appropriate name and you will get further data specific to your group that will get things going.
The more you participate in these discussion forums and within your group day to day the better this initiative will be.
Have fun and PARTICIPATE!
